Happy Holidays from Basshound
2008 has been a year of major change, both at home and abroad. We feel very fortunate to have spent a large part of the past year traveling around the country, meeting new friends, and playing music for many new audiences. To that end, we would like wish everyone a very happy holidays, and a funky new year. Many thanks to all of our friends and family around the country who have helped us along the way.
We are very pleased to announce that we will be hitting the road almost full time over the coming year. Basshound has been preparing for this moment for some time now, and that moment is upon us. 2009 is looking to be a big year for the band.

Westward Bound
Starting the third week of January, we will be getting in the van for just under a month, and making our way across the country. We will be hitting a number of cities on our way west, and will then spend a couple of weeks working our way through the great state of Colorado. A list of shows is below, with more to be added over the coming weeks. This will be our first time in many of these cities, so if you have friends and family in the area, please help us spread the good word!
New EP Release
Basshound has been in and out of the recording studio for most of the fall, and is gearing up to announce the release of our second EP. Look for an announcement in the coming weeks. To preview some of our material, you can visit our myspace page.
It goes without saying that our work would be nothing without the support of all of our friends and families. We will be making our way up and down the east coast when we return from our winter tour, and very much look forward to seeing everyone in the months to come. We would like to sincerely wish everyone all the best in the coming year.

Basshound has evolved into a mainstay live act in the Baltimore and Washington DC groove scene over the past 5 years. Well crafted tunes with strong jazz, funk and electronic influences get pushed through the Basshound filter to create a high energy, danceable show. Thick synths and deep bass tones accompany this musical soundscape, allowing the listener to let go and experience a full range of sonic energy without filters or limitations. Having released their debut E.P. in Spring 2007, Basshound proved to show the maturity of their individual playing on record, and since has received accolades from local newspapers and music critics, being named one of the regions finest.
